Visiting South Africa

by admin,  Mar 13 2013 13:10 PM

Sometimes it is nice just to take a break and come spend your leisure time in South Africa. There are certain countries like the Euro zone, the US and certain other countries that don’t need to apply for a visit visa prior their stay in South Africa. It is your duty to ensure that you don’t need a visa prior your stay.

It is possible for border officials to show you your way back to your home country if you do not comply to these rules. With a visit visa, no matter where it gets issued to you, you have to supply officials with evidence that you will return to your home country.

Normally when you receive your visa in your passport, they grant you 90 days i.e three months. It is possible for officials to sometimes grant you a shorter period in South Africa and/ or set rules for your stay in South Africa. For instance that you are not allowed to extend or apply for a certain visa or so forth. We cannot guarantee you what set of limitations they will give you, we can only warn you.

People applying prior to their visit in South Africa mostly get three months but there are also some exclusions. Anytime between 30 days and 90 days can be granted to you. There is a government fee of R425 payable when issuing the visit visa. When you’re in South Africa and you apply for one it can take around 30 days, you are allowed one extension and you can also renew this visit visa. When you’re outside of South Africa the processing time takes around 10 days. Also remember with a visit visa you are not allowed to work.

Most African countries need to apply prior their visit to South Africa for a visa, there are few African countries that you don’t have to apply prior your visit, like, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Namibia, Mozambique and Lesotho. For more info on which countries need to apply beforehand, you can contact us.

Bring your Wife or Husband to South Africa

by admin,  Mar 13 2013 13:07 PM

Love has no borders and if you’re working in South Africa for a limited time or even if you’re a citizen, you have the right to bring your wife or husband to South Africa if they’re not citizens. The way to go about this is a spousal visa for your loved one.

The first and utmost important requirement for a spousal visa is a marriage certificate. That is also the biggest difference between the spousal and life partner. To process a spousal visa it takes around 30 days and no government fee is charged, just like the life partner. You can then hold on to this visa for about two to three years and you do have the option to extend!

There is a way to avoid the spousal visa and directly apply for permanent residence. If you are married to the same spouse for five years or longer the spouse has the right to immediately apply for permanent residence.

If you directly apply for permanent residence and you submit it in South Africa, you will need to be on a temporary visa while the PR gets processed. So it means that you will probably have to apply for a spousal visa for time being.

You are allowed to be in the country with a submission receipt for a temporary visa. We can easily help anyone to apply for both here at New World Immigration. Just remember while you can sit back and relax when we do your spousal application but with a permanent residence application you have to be there as well. Permanent residence has a different application process but we will still be there for you every step of the way.

We know once you’re in South Africa you don’t really want to go back and permanent residence is not always an option. Sometimes you just need a few months more to soak up the South African sun with an extension on your temporary visa.

We know an extension can be very exciting and yet a very daunting exercise. Completing renewal forms and submitting in time is important. You have to apply at least 30 days before the expiry date of your temporary visa. It is possible to submit after the last 30 days but that just calls for extra paper work, which we here at New World Immigration can do for you. All we need is an signature. Please note that no submission will be accepted after the expiry date of your visa.

To process an extension it usually takes up to 30 days. The government fees also varies and that all depends on the type of temporary visa you hold. The validity of the extension also depends on your current visa and your status.

The possibility of getting a successful extension is always high when you submit in time, have a valid reason and all your paperwork were done correctly. Al three of these factors can be 100% correct if you make use of the New World Immigration services as your success reflects their success.

Before you apply for the relevant extension please check that the terms on your current visa allows you to apply for an extension. As they carefully examine the terms set when you entered the country.

Study in South Africa

by admin,  Mar 13 2013 13:03 PM

Based on our initial studies, South Africa is now becoming a highly sought after study destination as costs for studying in Australia and Canada are skyrocketing and entry requirements are becoming more and more complicated.

With all the prestigious tertiary institutions in South Africa nowadays there is no reason not to study in this beautiful country. There are so many extracurricular activities to choose from. Before I make you more jealous if you’re not South African there’s no reason for you to miss out on this amazing lifestyle.

You can apply for a study visa and you can stay in South Africa for up to four years. If that is too short you can apply for a different, more relevant visa after your four years of studying and still enjoy this beautiful country.

The time to process a study visa takes anything from 30 to 90 days. There are certain benefits and requirements. On a study visa you are allowed to have a part time job but you are only allowed to work 20 hours a week. Of course you also have to be enrolled at a college or university prior to application for a study visa.

Another important factor to remember is that medical cover is very important and must be arranged prior your departure to South Africa. This can be a very exciting chapter of anyone’s life. I personally had a lot of foreigner friends at varsity and all of them loved it here. This country has everything a student wants, affordable accommodation when traveling the country and seeing the scenic routes and nature we have to offer.

If you are interested contact us, we might even put you in touch with relevant institutions to get enrolled and then we can assist you further with your visa application process.

Dependents Visa - Useful For The Family

by admin,  Mar 13 2013 13:01 PM

If you are a foreigner that needs to conduct any business in South Africa for any reason and you don’t want to leave your family behind for the time being, there is always a solution. A dependent visa allow your partner and kids to come with you to the country and be here for moral support.

A dependent visa takes around 30 working days to get processed and gets granted the same duration as the main applicant, for however long you need to stay in South Africa. If you need to extend your stay, the dependents are also allowed to extend once. If you need a second extension then your the dependents might have to apply for their own visa, depending for what they’re going to stay for in South Africa.

I assume after one extension a dependent in South Africa will definitely find more than one reason to stay here. There will be an array of visas or permits to choose from to keep the dependents busy while you are doing business. This is not a very familiar visa but I still think it is a friendly gesture from the South African government to show that they do care about families and that it is important for families to be together.

If you are in need of a dependent visa or any other here at New World Immigration we can spare you the psychological torture of home affairs and do it for you. Leave an enquiry on our webpage or contact us on +2721 555 0951.

by admin,  Mar 13 2013 12:48 PM

A younger newer “type” of visa, the life partner visa is one of New World Immigration’s specialities. We can assist you in getting this visa in no time. The past few months we did more life partner visas than all of the others put together. We love every couple that walks in here, they are all unique and we enjoy it when they tell us their whole love story, it makes us feel more comfortable with the clients.

This specific visa doesn’t just hold benefit for our business but to any couple wanting to settle in South Africa. Initially this visa was brought in to help same sex couples to legally stay in South Africa, of course other couples also benefitted from this new visa. This visa means you don’t have to get married in order to stay in South Africa with your partner.

This obviously means that more documentation is required due to the fact that there’s no marriage certificate. Here at New World Immigration we simplify the process by providing you with guidelines and relevant documentation, so that you don’t have to struggle alone with the administrational process.

Another great aspect of the the life partner visa is that there is no government fees charged. One of the only visas in the world where no government fees are payable. Which make this visa a very affordable one. This visa is always the easier option for foreigners looking to stay in South Africa, we would suggest you first look into this visa before considering any of the others. Dlamini-Zuma Will Remain Home Affairs Minister For Time Being

by admin,  Mar 13 2013 12:47 PM

As a newly appointed African Union Commission chairperson Dlamini-Zuma will keep her responsibilities as Minister of Home Affairs for time being. In a presidential statement it was declared that she will keep her position as minister until all her requirements and processes are completed for her role as AU Commission Chairperson.

President Jacob Zuma ensured Dlamini-Zuma that all the good work she has done in the department of Home Affairs will be carried out even if she has to leave her position as Minister to fulfill the role as AU Commission Chairperson.

She did some great work as Minister of Home Affairs and the next person to step into her shoes has big shoes to fulfill and we hope they can carry out this responsibility. She turned the whole department around, ensuring less backlogs on certain visas and speeding up certain processes.

She contributed to all businesses such as New World Immigration as our clients are satisfied with us when we are satisfied with home affairs. We have no control over the speed of a submitted application and it all depends on Home Affairs. So far our collaboration with Home Affairs has been successful and we hope to carry on with this relationship when the new minister is appointed.

For any visa enquiries visit our home page or Facebook page for more information on a relevant visa for you.

Life Partners Settling in South Africa

by admin,  Mar 13 2013 12:44 PM

A beautiful country such as South Africa attract many couples to come and settle down here. I am not sure what made them decide to come and setup nest here but South Africa seems to be the golden midway between couples, their work and in-laws. Maybe it is the peaceful scenery or the urge to help this country to reach its full potential.

While working here at New World Immigration I’ve seen so many couples walking in here looking for assistance with application of a life partner visa. Every time they sit here in consultation I get excited for them. Settling in a new country with a person you love with all your heart, makes me want to go settle with a loved one in a foreign country.

Then again what country better than South Africa to settle down with a loved one? Romantic getaways, family fun, corporate castles and quiet platteland all in one country. Here is enough variety to choose from so that every partner can be satisfied with their environment. Less feuds and enough space is all a couple needs.

I just want to mention how many foreign couples I’ve seen the past month coming in and applying for a life partner visa or spousal visa. They make me excited about my own country and stepping into a new phase in life. It is going to be one exciting new life phase, and I want to wish all of these couples best of luck and happiness. If you and your partner want to come settle in SA give us a call, we will be happy to help and we are pretty much masters when it comes to life partner visa applications.
