How to Qualify for Australian Skilled Migration if you don’t Score 60 Points

by admin,  May 20 2013 16:37 PM

Some of our clients are on the CSOL  (Consolidated Skilled Occupation List), have more than 8 years of experience in their field, and have the necessary qualifications, but perhaps their age is keeping them from obtaining 60 points on the Skills test. Is there a route for these clients to get to Australia? There is

RSMS (Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme) is a popular option. But how does it work? It allows employers in remote, low population areas, or regional areas to bring in skilled workers. For the applicant it allows you and your family to gain Permanent Residency in Australia. This includes working rights, free education, and Medicare.  Applicants require a skills assessment by the assessing authority for their occupation. Then they require a job offer from an employer seeking those skills who is willing to sponsor them. If your occupation is on the CSOL list then your skills are needed in Australia and there will be employers looking for you. Once again here are the criteria.

•    want to live and work in regional Australia, meaning not in the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong and Melbourne
•    have been nominated by an approved Australian employer located in regional Australia
•    are younger than 50 years of age
•    meet the skills, qualifications and English language requirements

Please send us an enquiry at New World Immigration. We would be happy to go over the details, cost, and timeline.
